Pretty Scary Cosmetics Loose Powder!

Press Samples- right ahead!

Hi, everyone! I hope your Monday is off to a good start! I just went to see War For the Planet of the Apes last night and it was excellent. The only thing I didn’t like was the “comic relief” character. I thought the film was much too serious for that nonsense. It’d be like having a comedic character in The Godfather. It’s just wrong. And there was no laughter.  Well, I stopped at Big Lots after the movie on the hunt for some hard to find Sinful Colors. They always seem to have a displayer full of them. Not this time.

Let’s get to Pretty Scary’s nail powders. I’ve got the last four to show you all today. As before, I sandwiched a layer of the powder between no wipe gel polish. Underneath that was a peel off base coat. This was essential in saving my nails while swatching 18 colors.

First up we have Pumpkin Spice, which Tomb Service describes as an orange-y red. This one is also holographic. It’s a perfect fall color.

This is probably the most color accurate.

This is how it looks outside. Forgive the crease in my hand that looks like a hair.

This is how it look sparkling in the sun!

Next powder I’m showing you is called Headtrip. This is a holographic silver.

Here’s how it looks when you’re just hanging around the house.

Here it is full blast in the sun.

The next powder is Frozen, a beautiful blue holographic powder.  I love this color. It’s probably my favorite.

Lastly, I have Mirror, Mirror on the Wall which actually has it’s own listing because it is a different price.

And that’s all she wrote! If you are interested in any of these, they are $13.99 a pop for a 2.5 gram pot, except for Mirror, Mirror which is $21.99. You can see these and more fun goth/horror themed products at www.etsy.com/shop/TombService . You can use code sparklepusspolish for 15% off of anything you order from them. My last several posts were of these powders if you wanna go look. I use a few different lighting shots so you can see what they look like in various lighting. Polish doesn’t usually look the same inside and outside.

This was my third time using powder with gel and it was definitely a learning experience. No two powders act the same way, although using them is quick and easy. You can do so many things- you can use a base color, you can use a black base, you can use as many layers as you need.

Aside from the purpose of the blog today, I’d like to thank you guys for sticking with me and reading. I am certainly no Sloppy Swatches, and I am continuing to learn and grow. My swatches are far and away better than a few years ago, and I know they’ll be better still with time and another camera, lol.

Thanks again for stopping by!
