What’s This? What’s This?

Hi, all! Hope your week is off to a great start! My day was thrilling- I cleaned the bathroom. We’re having a Friday the 13th party this month. We usually pick a couple Jason movies and drink and eat snacks. Sometimes we’ll play a game after like Cards Against Humanity or Pass the Ace. So we’re trying to get the house into shape. Guys, I do my nail activities at our kitchen table, along with bill writing. If you could see the piles- I’d be mortified, lol. I’ve got tons of polishes, top and base coats, mail from Born Pretty, school papers, and on and on. I am so not looking forward to tackling that mess!

So, recently Anya from Lucky 13 Lacquer sent me some polishes to swatch and review. This one I’m reviewing is from the What’s This? What’s This? mini collab box, which is, of course, inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas. We all love that movie, right? I saw it in the old theatre in my hometown in high school. And now you all know I’m old. hahahaha

First, let’s discuss what is in this box. You get:

a 10ml bottle of Deadly Nightshade by Lucky 13 Lacquer
2 lip balms from Geek Fire Labs (great flavors and very moisturizing)
2 sheets of specially designed Nightmare Before Christmas nail vinyls by Nail Jewelry Bling (cute designs and nice variety!)

Prices for this start at $8 for a full sized polish (I’m holding the mini in these pics), and $3.50 for the lip balms, and so on. You get to choose which products you get!

Deadly Nightshade is described on Lucky 13’s site as a “royal purple with purple and golden shimmer”.

Deadly Nightshade goes on in 2 smooth coats. You seriously couldn’t find a nicer polish application than you can with this polish. It goes on like warm butter on toast. I used top coat with this to make it super shiny. Now for the art!

So for this look, I used two different images out of the Nail Jewelry Bling vinyls. I also used some fun Halloween glitter from Glitter Me This, who you can find on ebay at https://www.ebay.com/usr/reconstructionjunkie10. She has a great variety of fun glitters at excellent prices. I thought this turned out pretty nicely!

She actually changed this to a “build your own” collab box, as I said above, so if you’re not big on nail vinyls, you don’t have to get them and the price will go down. Pretty cool, right?
