Parrot Polish and Zoya Halloween Nails!

Hi, everyone! Happy Halloween! Got any fun plans for today? Our town’s trick or treat was on Saturday. Today my nugget’s elementary school is having their Halloween parade where all the kids walk around the school in their costumes. It’s really cute. I’m also heading out shopping a little later….Target, Old Navy, Michael’s…. I’m looking to see if any poinsettias are out yet. I used to dabble a bit in flower arrangement. Now, I just make cemetery headstone saddles for my gram, pap, and uncle. People are always commenting on my cemetery work, so I thought I’d try selling a couple for the holidays. If they don’t sell, I’ll just use them for my family instead of making more. It’s work I really enjoy. It’s cathartic knowing you’re still doing things for the people you loved that have passed on.

So back on topic- Halloween! And nails! I only managed to pump out 2 Halloween manis this year because I was a little under the weather. Here’s what I’ve got on today-

Bloom Tarantula Purple by Parrot Polish and Landon by Zoya

I had tons of inspiration for this mani from Instagram. There were a lot of manis using gradients- mostly in purples or sunset colors. For this I used a neon purple by Parrot Polish– Bloom Tarantula Purple. Just ONE coat, guys!!!! No undies, either!!!! When that was dry, I did a gradient using Landon by Zoya. When I had the colors just right and they dried, I top coated it with Lucky 13 Lacquer’s We’re All Matte Here matte top coat. I then used Dark Knight by Funky Fingers to stamp images from plate BP-L057 from Born Pretty.

When I was all done with artwork, I used the hairspray method to prevent streaking. That’s when you lightly mist some aerosol hair spray over your nails to make a protective barrier. When that dried, I did another coat of We’re All Matte Here.
