4th of July Nail Art!

Hello, everyone! Happy 4th of July to all my fellow Americans!  Happy Tuesday to the rest of you, lol! Today I’ve got some patriotic nail art to show you!Normally I have several patriotic manis leading up to the 4th, but this year I was a little busier trying to get some nail-related projects done. So- I only have this one mani for you.

The polishes I used for this mani are all stunning in their own right. Yesterday I posted about Ring My Belle by OPNL. That was the base for this mani. I love how in the picture above you can see that it’s a warmer silver. It kind of reminds me of old, polished silverware. Real silverware- not the crap you can buy at WalMart. On my pinkies and index fingers, I did one coat of Cherry Luxe by ILNP. Cherry Luxe is part of ILNP’s Ultra Metallics collection. It’s red flakies and a smattering of holo. If you like red polish, you need this shade. Get thee to ILNP! On my ring fingers, I did 2 coats of Carpe Denim by KBShimmer. Carpe Denim is a navy jelly polish with lots of small glitter throughout. This was one of my lemmings and I’m glad I finally pulled the trigger and got it. Once that was all dry, I did a top coat.

Next thing I did was stamp. Before I go on, let me tell you that it’s always best to do a top coat before stamping. This way, if you make a mistake, you’ll just be removing top coat with the mistake and not the color beneath, although you still need to do it gently.  For the stamp I used Born Pretty’s silver stamping polish. The image I used is also available at Born Pretty. It’s plate BP-L013. There are a lot of great images on that plate, so if you’re into stamping definitely check it out. If you want to grab anything at Born Pretty, you can use my code LESLIEW10 for 10% off of your order.

I’m pleased with the way this turned out. It’s success is mostly due to the beauty of the polishes and not my simple nail art. All three polishes are just stunning.

Thanks for stopping by the blog!
