Paradox by ILNP!

Hello, everyone! How is your week going? Mine is going pretty well! As I mentioned in my last post, we went to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island on Sunday. Guys, my calves are still killing me from all that walking! Yesterday was my birthday. I’m a whopping 29 (plus 10)! I had a good time. We went purse shopping for me and I found a really cute burgundy bag at Target. I also snagged a winter jacket, as my weight gain keeps me from being able to actually close my coats! After that we went to a Chinese buffet, where my diet fell by the wayside. womp, womp.

Normally, I do a peridot colored mani for my birthday, but my nails were still holding up and the polish is gorgeous, so I just left it on. I did my nails Saturday night and as of now there’s a little bit of wear. But I’m about to begin swatching, so no biggie. Here’s what I had on my nails-

Here on my nails is the beautiful Paradox, from ILNP’s Ultra Chrome Flakies collection. I wasn’t sure how opaque they would be, so I started with a coat of Funky Fingers’ Dark Knight. I then sponged on 2 coats of Paradox. When that was dry, I smoothed it down by brushing on a coat of Paradox followed by top coat.

The formula on this was very nice. You get a good amount of flakies on the brush. Here’s how ILNP describes Paradox- “Paradox has an extreme color shift that travels through teal, blue, violet, pink, and fuchsia. Of course, you’ll definitely catch glimpses of other colors at extreme angles and under different lighting conditions.” I got a lot of compliments on my nails. Those of us that are deep down the indie rabbit hole kind of take polishes like this as the norm, but regular folks are fascinated when they see this kind of stuff on someone. It really brings home just how special indie polishes are.

Barbra of ILNP is about to release her fall collection (or at least do a preorder). Check out the site for more info on it AND to ogle the many pretties already released- www.ilnp.com.

Are you guys ILNP lovers, too? Or have you not yet taken the plunge? I will say this about ILNP- google swatches of the polishes you want to buy. It’s best to see them photographed on other swatchers for the most realistic view!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
