Hephaestus (vus for the rest of us)

Hey, guys! I just couldn’t resist. Whenever I think of Hephaestus (which is, like, all the time, duh), it makes me think of Festivus. I’m screwed when it comes to feats of strength, but I can air grievances with the best of them!

So today’s polish is an oldie from the now defunct Gothic Gala Lacquers. I swatched for her for quite a while and always enjoyed her gorgeous polishes. She did sophisticated so well. The polish I’m showing you was part of her Mount Olympus collection.

Hephaestus is one of my favorite silver polishes. It has a beautiful glow to it. It’s shown here in 2 coats, but I’m thinking I should’ve done three to cover my ridges and nail imperfections better. I also decided that I wanted to do a ruffian. I chose Zoya’s Dovima, a matte black. I used nail tip guides from Born Pretty to do the ruffian. I liked the way it turned out, but it felt like something was missing from it. So I added snowflakes!

For the snowflakes, I used Funky Fingers Dark Knight and plate BP-L018 from Born Pretty. I think the snowflakes really complete the look and I’m happy with how it turned out. If you’re interested in the stamping plate, you can go to www.bornprettystore.com and use my code- LESLIEW10 for 10% off of your order!

Thanks for checking out the blog today!
