Hello, lovelies! How was your weekend? Mine was okay. It was pretty much just me and the nugget because the baby daddy went to Walker Stalker. It’s like a Comic Con for The Walking Dead. And speaking of The Walking Dead….did you guys watch last night? I’m not going to give anything away, but god this death was (will be) rough. Before this, Herschel was definitely the hardest one for me. :_-(
So enough sadness. Let’s talk polish! With Christmas coming up, I was asking in Acetone Alley (a gossip group for indie polish nuts) if they knew of any groups doing a secret Santa exchange. I had seen them done before and wished I had been able to participate. I also asked if they knew of anyone doing a polish advent calendar. Well, Connie at 77 Nail Lacquer decided to do one with mini polishes! Today I have the polishes from the first week of the advent calendar along with some goodies!
77 Nail Lacquer Advent Calendar- week 1
The first week of the advent calendar features a nice array of polishes-
Caspar- A medium blue with silver micro glitter
Charity- an orange-y pink-leaning red with copper shimmer
Cookie- a plum with copper shimmer
Holly- a transforming top coat with pink shimmer
Noelle- A silver holographic bar glitter top coat
Merry- a medium purple with gold shimmer
Klaus- a pearlescent black
I apologize for my not so great descriptions! Sometimes I struggle with types of polish- like frosts, metallic, etc. Hand me a crellie or jelly and I can describe it easier, lol.
Left row from top to bottom- Caspar, Charity, Cookie
Right row from top to bottom- Holly, Noelle, Merry, Klaus
So far I’m having a lot of fun with this! It’s great to have a mystery polish to open every day! So far, I’ve only used Noelle, which you all may remember from my Cotton Candy Clouds! post.
Week 1 of 77 Nail Lacquer’s Advent Calendar
Shown on my swatch wheel is 2 coats of each polish. I added the lined paper underneath so you could see how sheer or opaque each polish is. And now the extras!
Extras from 77 Nail Lacquer’s Advent Calendar
There’s teas, a felt cat ornament (or you could use it as a bookmark, I guess…lol, maybe that’s what it actually is), sticker, I think the colored bands are hair ties, lol. The bottom pic is two notebooks. They’re definitely going to come in handy. I have a few more bags of extras to open, but I wanted to spread the fun out for the month. I also got a bag full of chocolates…..yeah, I ate those before I took my pics. Hahahaha
If you’re bummed that you missed out on getting an advent calendar, Connie is about to announce something for the people that missed out. You can keep up to date about that on her fan page on Facebook- Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer.
Thanks for stopping by the blog!
I’m determined one year to actually have a beauty/ polish advent calender!

The idea of an advent calendar is fun. Btw, this death was dumb. I’m not as much as upset by it but more like the writers literally did word for word for the comics for the Negan storyline, which just hasn’t worked, but departed from it for this? Huh?! Hershel and Tyreese had me crying for way too long lol

Yeah, Hershel’s death I still can’t watch.
