Hello, everyone! I’ve been away from the blog for a bit. Sickness was running rampant in our house, so there was no time for the fun stuff. I was super busy nursing my baby daddy back to health, plus Maggie got spayed. On top of that, I had extremely bad cramps. Thank god for pain meds, or it would’ve been up to the nugget to take care of everyone!

Today I have a pretty cool item I was sent to review for Born Pretty! It was my first time using an actual gel polish and I think it went rather well!
Transparent Chameleon Flakies in Gel by Born Pretty 40795-4
To start out, I did one coat of Funky Fingers Dark Knight. When that was dry, I used a nail art brush and dipped it into the container of chameleon gel flakies. I then did one coat on each nail. The gel smooths onto the nail so nicely! The colors you see are mostly green, gold, and orange. But red and blue do slip in there from time to time. After that, I cured it under the lamp for 30 seconds. I then added another coat of the gel to each nail and cured again. This was SO easy to do!

Wow, this turned out really pretty. I am so afraid of gel polish! Last week I had a gel top coat applied and when they cured it on my one nail, I swear to GOD my finger hurt. LOL I’m such a weirdo. I don’t have the equipment to try gel polishes but I really want to!

Yes, that happens to me too! I think it was An that told me it does that if the coat of gel is too thick.
