Gradient Nail Art

Hi, everyone! I told you I’d be back with the nail art on the front of the blog.

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Going Coastal

I love a pretty gradient and green and blue are my favorite to do, followed by light purples.  For this, I started out with 2 coats of Going Coastal by Octopus Party Nail Lacquer.  FYI- Going Coastal is opaque in 3 thin coats. I only did 2 because I was about to sponge more on. I then used a make up wedge to sponge on the green, Pea by Sally Girl, and blue together. After that, I top coated each nail, and added a white Swarovski rhinestone. For my accent nail, I used a French manicure guide sticker. I put it on sideways to how I wanted the rhinestones to go on. I then did one coat of Ring My Belle, also by OPNL, which is a sparkly silver holo. Once that was dry, I added another top coat. I picked out various rhinestones and doodads from my ever-growing nail art collection. Except for the white Swarovskis, they were all bought at Born Pretty.  If you would like to grab some nail art items or jewelry, you can use my code LESLIEW10 at Born Pretty.

I think it turned out quite nice! Besides doing gradients, I also love a good crème polish. What kind of polish is your favorite? Holos, multichromes, shimmers? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. What a beautiful mani! I love gradients, too. I’m planning to do one with creams and browns so I can use my coffee stamping plate and new coffee themed decals. I think my favorite types of polishes are multichromes and flakies.
