Run This Bayou

Hi, all! I hope your day is off to a good start. I went to our local Fair last night and ate my little heart out. I honest to god look like I’ll be giving birth in about a month, lol. We also hit up the candy tent. You get a big bowl and walk around in a snaking maze-like pattern and pick out all teh candies. I got some taffy and gummies. I love my gummies. I was disappointed that they didn’t have any space ships, though. Remember those? They were like a wafer (communion wafers, for you Catholics) with little sprinkles inside. Those are my favorite candies. I’ll stop here. I can go on and on about food, lol.

Today’s polish is Run This Bayou from Octopus Party Nail Lacquer.

Run This Bayou is described in the OPNL shop as a “green iridescent topper with green/gold and yellow/green iridescent flakies, copper/gold/olive multichrome flakies, and green/teal shifting pigment.” For short, it’s packed with goodness!

Run This Bayou is meant to be paired with a black polish, but I’ve seen it on it’s own and it looks pretty cool that way if you don’t mind the Visible Nail Line. Here, I have two coats of it over Black Knight by Funky Fingers, which you can buy at Five Below. A quick note on that- it’s a one coat black and stamps amazingly. I love the way this polish looks. Another very unique lacquer put out by OPNL. I also matted it, because flakies!

The matte top coat I used for this is Lucky 13 Lacquer’s We’re All Matte Here. I love the look of this polish matted. It just defines and showcases the flakies. This polish reminded me of dragon scales, so that’s how I arted it!

I like the way this turned out! For the scales I used Born Pretty plate BP109 and Gothic Gala Lacquers Gold stamping polish. So there you have it! Keep an eye on the OPNL shop- www.octopuspartynl.com and join the fan club on Facebook- The Octosquad to stay up to date on all releases and restocks!

Thanks for stopping by today!
