Hi, everyone! How’s your week going? It’s not going so well here in central PA. We’ve had rain for quite some time now. A couple days ago, the intersection by my house started buckling, rain water over flowed the sewer, and the water came rushing out in every direction. We took about 6-7 inches in our basement. Our shower was knocked off its base, hampers of clothes were knocked over and soaked, and many sentimental items were lost. Even during a hurricane our basement didn’t flood, so we really weren’t prepared for this. My bf lost the most- drawings one of his friends did, very old birthday cards, papers from when his uncle was murdered. I lost everything I was awarded in high school, which was mostly writing related. Basement’s almost dry. We got a giant fan to dry it out. And there’s more rain coming. UGH. On the positive side- our washer, dryer, and furnace are all fine. Some towns 20 miles away have rain up to their car grills. And as I am looking over this post before publishing, I got an emergency warning on my phone about flash floods.
So, again, here is the warning! PICTURE HEAVY!!!! I’m about to show you the second half of my Polish Con haul. It was a fantastic time and I’m so fortunate the circumstances were right to make this trip possible! If you want to see the first half before you check this out, go here- Polish Con NY 2018 Part 1.
First up we have Native War Paints. Their table was pretty fun. You got a free bottle of polish with a $30 purchase and if you spent $10, you could spin the prize wheel. The prize wheel featured lotion, lip balm, nail polish, and a couple other things, I believe.
What Fools These Mortals Be by Native War Paints is described on their site as “an aqua jelly with red to orange to yellow shifting shimmer and packed with holographic.” This is part of the Midsummer Night’s Dream collection they did for Polish Con.
June 2018 by Native War Paints is a holographic lilac with icy blue shimmer.
My Soul Is In The Sky by Native War Paints is described on their site as “a deep indigo with blue to green to gold shifting shimmer and a dash of scattered holo.” This is also part of the Midsummer Night’s Dream collection for Polish Con.
Love Looks Not With The Eyes by Native War Paints is tough to describe. It’s like a smoky eggplant with light purple shimmer and silver micro glitter. I was kind of meh about it in the bottle, but someone did a swatch and it was absolutely stunning on! This was their VIP polish.
Luxurious by Native War Paints was the free polish with $30 purchase. This is another very complex polish that’s hard to describe. It seems to be a purple metallic with gold and pink shimmer. It really is gorgeous. This polish is also magnetic.
Next up is Bee’s Knees! They were my first purchase at Polish Con. Everything they had was absolutely stunning.
Sluagh by Bee’s Knees Lacquer is a very deep eggplant crème. This polish is no longer on their site.
Nymph by Bee’s Knees Lacquer is an ocean blue topper with a blue to purple shift when worn over dark colors. It was paired with Sluagh in the shop. This polish is no longer on their site.
Wail of the Bean Sidhe by Bee’s Knees Lacquer is a deep blue with turquoise to purple shimmer. It has pink micro glitter and green iridescent flakies. This was the VIP from them.
The Mittengard Wyrm by Bee’s Knees Lacquer is part of the A Court of Thorns and Roses collection (written by Sarah Maas) is described as “a champagne super holo polish with some added red to gold shimmer.”
You’re Free by Bees’s Knees Lacquer is described on their site as “a molten penny when unmagnetized but changes to a dark cyan/blue/purple/copper multichrome with a gold and orange magnetic shimmer.” This is also from the A Court of Thorns and Roses collection.
Amarantha by Bee’s Knees Lacquer is….I don’t know. This polish is unfathomable! Multichrome flakie? GAH! It’s freaking gorgeous is what I do know. The polish is a lot more red in person than in the picture. It’s also magnetic. This polish came free with purchase.
Next up is KBShimmer! I was really excited to get to their table so I could finally meet Michelle of Ehmkay Nails! I knew her through a nail polish group on Facebook and it was great to meet a fellow polish lover in real life!
Cactus If You Can by KBShimmer is described on their site as a “soft green shade is inspired by one of the best water conserving plants, the cactus. A soft pink shimmer and micro holo sparks, soften up this prickly polish, for a manicure that is perfect in 2-3 coats.”
Spa-cial Edition by KBShimmer was their VIP polish. It’s a scattered holographic light teal.
Hard To Empress by KBShimmer is an LE polish described on their site as “a purple nail polish with unicorn pee shimmer, and unicorn flakes that shift from a vibrant fuchsia to a deep indigo, for a jelly polish meant to impress.”
Shady Beaches by KBShimmer is described on their site as “coppery orange shade reminds me of those collage days, where finding the perfect spot at the beach was as important as having the perfect tan. We loaded this color with our glowing holo flakes and amped up the color with a rose gold shimmer, for a shady color ready for any beach. 2-3 coats recommended”
Meet Me At the Barre by KBShimmer is described on their site as a “pale pink shade has hints of coral.”
Flock This Way by KBShimmer is described on their site as “a raspberry pink shade echoes the pink of our bathing suits worn on those weekend trips. To the punchy pink shade, we added glowing holo flakes and a sizzling copper shimmer for a color that morphs into a deeper pink and coral in different lighting. 2-3 coats recommended.” I currently have this one on my toes and love it!
Succ It Up by KBShimmer is described on their site as “The many types of succulents with their luscious shades of green, pink, purple and blue inspired this shimmery purple polish. Holo micro flakes give this hue some sparkle, while a blue green shimmer completes this hip polish.”
Finally we get to my Different Dimension polishes! This table was PACKED with shoppers.
Never Too Old For Fairytales by Different Dimension is described on their site as ” a lavender gold linear holographic polish with added holographic microflakies. Opaque in 2 to 3 coats.”
Presto Chango by Different Dimension is described on their site as “a temperature sensitive polish that is purple (cold) to blue (warm) with added unicorn type shimmers and holographic microglitters.”
Semper Fidelis by Different Dimension is the VIP polish. It appears to be a holographic purple and multicolored flakie polish.
Are You Sure That We Are Awake? by Different Dimension was the polish that was a gift with $50 purchase. It’s a stunning multi-chrome with holographic flakies. Guys, this may be my favorite polish ever. I wore it last week. I couldn’t stop staring at my nails. I’ll have a post on this in the near future.
Tradition by Different Dimension is described on their site as “an apricot leaning nude metallic holographic polish with added shimmers. Opaque in 2 to 3 coats.”
Abracadabra by Different Dimension is described on their site as “a multichrome magnetic polish that shifts pink to copper to gold with added holographic microflakies.”
Grace by Different Dimension is described on their site as “a garnet polish with a slight multichrome shift, holographic microglitters and ultra-chrome flakies. Opaque in 2 to 3 coats.”
Lost Boy by Different Dimension is a Polish Con Limited Edition polish. It’s a beautiful multi-chrome. The main color is purple and it is loaded with holographic flakies.
That concludes my haul! Now onto extras that came with the VIP and some other stuff!
My Polish Con tshirt.
Bag that came as a gift with purchase from KBShimmer!
Dragon Egg necklace that came from Shawna at A Mother of Dragon eggs. I own 3 of her eggs and they’re really cool!
Polish Con key chain, lotion I won at the Native War Paints prize wheel, and quick dry nail drops from B Polished.
Some soap, wax and stickers!
Now onto post- Con shenanigans!
We played Catopoly and Uno!
The nugget says his dad’s feet smell great! :_-D
The guys were jumping on the beds doing this “Slippery Salmon” thing where they flop around and make weird noises….
That’s about it! I had an awesome time at Polish Con and would love to attend one in the future if I can afford it. They’re holding the fall PC in Minneapolis on September 15th. If you’d like to check it out, go join the Polish Con Facebook group!
Thanks for stopping by!!!
